An ear climber traces the curve of the ear instead of hanging from it. From the front it reads less as an earring than as a line drawn on the ear, the look of a cuff that floats. A climber is at its best where it can be seen. Hair tucked behind the ear or pulled back gives it the whole curve to work with; worn under loose hair it becomes a glimpse, which has its own appeal.
Because it follows the ear rather than falling from it, a climber does not swing. That makes it one of the easiest shapes to wear through a full day: at a desk, on a call, under a scarf.
